“My son has been having guitar lessons with the tutors for 2 years now, he was an absolute beginner (never even held a guitar) and the progression he has made in that time has been outstanding! I would love to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the tutors that have been involved in teaching him, his confidence has grown through the encouragement and support that he has been given. My son adores his heavy metal and his rock band, and at no point did anyone dissuade him from trying to tackle such difficult music, in fact he was motivated and inspired to try to play such pieces by the tutors! He would come home every lesson excited to show me what he had learnt and would practice throughout the week ready for the next session. My son is now moving up to secondary school so unfortunately cannot continue his development with the link learning tutors but they have given him an amazing start to his musical journey and an excellent foundation to build on! Projects

Due to the workshops being participant-led- our patients are also given a rare opportunity to assert their autonomy and decision- making power, which boosts their confidence; this is sometimes difficult to achieve in a hospital setting.”
